White House Nixes Call for a Death Star

death-star (1)

In a wonderful response to a petition presented by the People called “This isn’t the Petition Response You are Looking For,” the White House has shots down a call from the public to secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016, in order to create jobs (and protect Earth). The main points made by the White House in rejecting the petition are as follows:

The construction of the Death Star has been estimate to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We’re working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.

The Administration does not support blowing up planets.

Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?

Read the entire response, along with a discussion of what we already have going on in Space, here.
